Gloria Diane Bartels is a very talented local artist and a ShadowChase Running Club member. She started painting when she was about 6 years old. Her signature painting style and bold, dramatic colors are easily recognized throughout the community. You can see her murals and paintings throughout the Modesto and Sacramento areas.

Each year Gloria creates a new painting for the Spirit of Giving. It is sold to the highest bidder with the proceeds going to our charities.

Our participant medals are based on one of these paintings. These medals are highly collectible. You can hang them on your medal rack or use them as Christmas tree ornaments.
